Within the next few weeks, we’ll be announcing some major changes to the way the CMPA serves its members.

But before we do, we need your help!  Mark Twain once observed that "everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it".  Well, now is your chance to help steer the CMPA.

We’re looking for volunteers to take over three critical positions on the CMPA Executive Committee:

  • Vice President:  Do you have leadership experience?  We’re looking for a someone who can assist the president with steering the CMPA into the future.  You don’t need to live in Ottawa if you’re interested in volunteering for this position…you can participate online or by teleconference.
  • Treasurer:  We’re looking for a responsible person with a head for numbers who can manage our books and cut cheques.  Access to Quicken accounting software will be provided.  Because our bank account is located in Ottawa, you must be local.
  • Director of Communications:  You’ll craft messages for the CMPA, reach out to the membership and the public at large.  You’ll also be the CMPA’s social media ninja on our website, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube accounts.  No programming skills are needed!  It’s the 21st century so you don’t need to live in Ottawa…you could be anywhere in the world, so long as you have a computer, access to the internet, and a creative side to your personality.
If you think you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and help steer the CMPA into its new future, please contact us at cmpa.apmc@gmail.com.

I can assist the Dir of Communications. I am a civilian though - formerly a Security Officer 1989-1991 or so (posted to NDHQ AU MP Unit as it was at that time). I live in Yellowknife.
