It’s a common practice for police services across Canada to issue special “retirement credentials” to their retired members. All CMPA members in good standing who retire in receipt of an annuity or are released early with a medical pension will qualify to be issued retirement credentials that recognize their unique qualifications and contribution to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and the Canadian policing fraternity.
Each year, the CMPA awards two $1,000 scholarship to spouses or children of members in good standing who are pursuing their first year of full or part time post-secondary education in a university or college program.
