​The 49th Annual Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial (CPPOM) Service

​The 49th Annual Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial (CPPOM) Service will be held on Sunday, 27 September 2026.

The Canadian Military Police Association (CMPA) has received an invitation from the Military Police Branch. This invitation is open to all MP Veterans who wish to participate alongside its members in this year’s Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Service.

As in previous years, the Canadian Military Police will form a contingent to parade alongside representatives of law enforcement agencies from across Canada, honouring the police and peace officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

Through the CMPA, Military Police veterans are cordially invited to participate. Veterans will form a contingent and parade immediately behind serving members.
Military Police veterans residing in other regions are also encouraged to participate with their local Military Police contingent at memorial events in their respective areas.

Participation in local events remains subject to the final service and parade directives concerning the inclusion of veterans.

Requirements
Veterans must strictly adhere to CMPA By-Law 9 regarding membership dress and appearance.

As the CPPOM Service involves an extended period of marching and standing, all participants must be physically capable of sustaining these activities for the duration of the event.

Parade Information
Timings
0900 hrs, 27 Sep 26: All military participants shall report to the muster point. The Officer of Primary Interest (OPI) will account for personnel, conduct the required inspections, and form the contingent in four ranks.

0925 hrs, 27 Sep 26: Veterans shall join the Military Police contingent in the vicinity of the muster point on Wellington Street.

The CMPA OPI will account for personnel, conduct the required inspections, and form the veterans’ contingent in four ranks behind the serving Military Police contingent.

1020 hrs, 27 Sep 26: The Military Police contingent will proceed in column of route to its assigned parade position.

1100 hrs, 27 Sep 26: The CPPOM Service will commence.

Dress: In accordance with CMPA By-Law 9 — Membership Dress.
Rations: Rations will not be provided.
Transportation: Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation and parking.
