About the CMPA

The Canadian Military Police Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of currently serving and former Military Police Branch personnel. This is done through scholarships, corporate sponsorships, and offering a venue for the furthering of old ties as well as creating new ones. The organization is all-volunteer.

The Junior and Senior NCO MP of the Year 2009 selection board convened earlier this week and after reviewing many files and much deliberation (including two tie breakers) two recipients were selected.

It is with great pleasure that I announce:

  • the Junior MP of the Year for 2009 is Master Corporal Stephane Charbonneau from 3 Wing Bagotville; and
  • the Senior MP of the Year is Sergeant Martin Provost from the CFNIS SD.

Congratulations to them both.

CWO Day and I are delighted with the selection process that has identified these two outstanding individuals. The MP Of the Year 2009 will be presented to MCpl Charbonneau and Sgt Provost at the CFPM Mess Dinner to be held on 4 February 2010 in Ottawa ON.
